1930's
n illusive pen, manufactured during the 1930's together with the Raven
Black and the Thrift time pens ment for the low-priced market.
Around 1932 Parker introduced the Parco. It appears
this pen eventually became the Parkette, in fact, the
first year Parkette was identical to the Parco
with the exception of the clip. The clip is a three step chevron similar
to the Parkette, with the exception of the step above
the chevrons. The Parco is squared off, whereas the
Parkette comes to a point.
The Parco came in 4 colors - black,
green marble, grey and black marble
with red veins, and red and black marble (similar
to the material used for the streamline Duofold). The pen is a lever
filler and the nib is 14kt and marked Parco, made in
the USA. As you can see by the pictures the pen has four cap bands -
two above the clip and two in the customary position.
